Burkhard Rüth was born in Hagen in Westphalia in 1965. Currently he lives in Kiel. He studied economics and then worked as a business consultant, real estate agent and project developer.
Due to his love for crime fiction and the mountains, he wrote the South Tyrolean crime novel, “Das Monster von Bozen” ( The monster of Bozen), in 2011, that has become the first of a crime series published by Emons Verlag. Additionally he writes thrillers. In his dystopian thriller “VIRUS – Der letzte Anschlag” (VIRUS – The Last Attack), terrorist attacks of unimagined proportions almost lead to the extinction of the human race in a frighteningly realistic way.
