The pharmacist Ludwig Fischlinger is dead! So much excitement in the otherwise too contemplative Burglbach in the Allgäu, that is a welcome change for Walli Schimmel. Inmediatly the eccentric pensioner rushes into the investigation – much to the displeasure of Wolfi, her slightly phlegmatic son and local police officer. He initially believes in a completely natural death: too much pork knuckle. Too little movement.
But Walli persists and soon comes across a lead. Who has the pharmacist on his conscience? Was it the beautiful widow? Or did Fischlinger get involved in dubious deals? With the help of her friend Friedl, some homemade Stamperln (shot glasses) fruit schnapps and a bit of criminal energy, she will track down the murderers …
An exciting and enjoyable read!
