We start this new year with very good news:
The Spanish author José C. Valés has been warded with the Premio Nadal 2015 for his novel Cabaret Biarritz.
The jury pointed out the novel’s “extravagant and entertaining” facet and “that through the investigation of a crime the portrait of an inter-war society is sketched, where strict social rules coexist with the excitement of this moment”.
José C. Valés is a writer, editor and translator for different publishing houses. Amongst his prolific translating and editing work, his most notable projects include his works on authors such as Jane Austen, Mary Shelley, Anthony Throllope and Wilkie Collins.
