Marina Caba Rall was born in Madrid in 1964 into a German-Spanish family. At the age of ten, she moved to Germany and grew up in Tuebingen. After having received her Magister degree in history at the FU Berlin, she studied Direction at the Film University ››Konrad Wolf‹‹ in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She works for the Latin America editorial office of Deutsche Welle TV, as a scriptwriter and director of documentaries and feature films. Esperanza is her first novel. At the moment, she writes a script for a feature film and her second novel. Together with her husband and her son, she lives in Berlin.
