La Lluna de Gel (Ice moon)
La lluna de gel narrates the true story of a girl who fled from prostitution. Young Ileana, the protagonist, recalls very vividly her origins in a village in the Romanian region of Moldavia, the poorest in the country. When she was only fourteen years old, her parents sent her away with two of her brothers to work in Bucharest, since they couldn’t support her. In the capital, Ileana found much more than an underpaid job; she found modelling agencies that could make her dreams come true. Thus begins the story of a girl who, at sixteen, is harassed by a worldwide prostitution network. This is history with fictional characters, scenes, settings and situations, but with a heart that beats vigorously.
